Republican Gov. Susana Martinez continued her fundraising juggernaut over the summer.

Reports filed Monday show she more than doubled the cash raised by Democratic opponent Gary King. The governor spent four times more than King in her quest for a second term.

King won a five-way primary in early June to challenge Martinez, loaning his campaign $535,406 in the process.

In other statewide races:

  • Democrat Hector Balderas maintains a hefty fundraising lead over his Republican Susan Riedel in the race for the attorney general’s seat vacated by King, with more than $822,000 to spend before the election. Riedel outraised Balderas during the summer reporting period, however.
  • In the race for the open state treasurer’s seat, Republican Rick Lopez raised more than his Democratic opponent Tim Eichenberg over the summer. But Eichenberg has a significant lead in contributions and spending, and has loaned his campaign more than $175,000.
  • In the race for the open state auditor’s seat, Democrat Tim Keller has a large fundraising lead on GOP opponent Robert Aragon.
